A strong AEO brief tells a writer what the buyer needs to decide and what evidence supports the answer. “Add FAQs and schema” is not enough direction.

Example: a CPA service-selection article

Buyer: a SaaS founder choosing accounting support. Decision: whether a firm’s scope fits their reporting needs. Evidence: actual service description, supported software and verified practitioner information. Example: an explicitly hypothetical onboarding workflow.

The outline should explain records, responsibilities, reporting and scope boundaries. It should not drift into unverified tax advice to fill space.

Turn the brief into a review process

Check evidence before style

For each factual claim, ask what supports it and whether the source says what the draft implies. Label projections and examples. Remove results that have not been measured.

Check whether the answer stands alone

A section should identify the subject and give enough context to remain understandable outside the introduction. Avoid vague references such as “this strategy” when a clear service name would help.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should every brief produce the same outline?

No. Reuse the quality checks, not identical sections that ignore the buyer’s decision.

Do we need a download form?

Not to make the template useful. A form is optional; if added, deliver the actual promised asset and collect only the information needed.
